View HistoryOriginally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, A. Lange & Söhne was nationalised and ceased to exist in 1948 before being revived in 1990 by Walter Lange, the great-grandson of Ferdinand Adolph Lange. These days, 'Lange' is widely regarded as the standard bearer for high-end German watchmaking, ranking as one of the most prestigious watchmakers on the planet.
