Editor's Note: Watches and Wonders might be the main event in Geneva in April, but it's by no means the only watch fair or release moment to pay attention to. Since 1998, Franck Muller has run its own show, the World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH), to unveil its latest novelties. 2026 saw the brand unveil a bevy of new timepieces across 6 main product lines - let's run through 'em.
What We Know
Long Island Evolution Master Jumper Skeleton
The Master of Complications highlights its 2026 releases with one of its biggest successes in recent memory, as the Master Jumper Skeleton takes the shape of two recognisable cases. The Long Island Evolution, which was the case of choice for the original Master Jumper Skeleton, is now available in a classic gold-and-black combination, mixing rose gold and PVD titanium, while the sapphire dial gives us a look at the dual-barrelled calibre below.
Curvex CX Master Jumper Skeleton
The Master Jumper Skeleton's calibre MVT FM 3100
The idea is the same with the Curvex CX variant of the Master Jumper Skeleton, though now you get two choices of colourway: one fully adopting the rose gold palette, and the other subtly integrating Franck Muller’s rainbow numerals into PVD titanium and rose gold. Powered by the in-house MVT FM 3100, all the Master Jumper Skeleton references are defined by their centrally aligned, triple windows. One barrel provides the power for the jumps of the hours and minutes, while the other ensures the movement itself keeps beating.
Curvex CX Grand Central Tourbillon Baguette
Curvex CX Grand Central Tourbillon Baguette
Owing to their roots, very few Franck Muller designs are subtle - but the Curvex CX Grand Central Tourbillon Baguette is particularly unsubtle. This blinged-out beast is adorned with nearly 50 carats of baguette-cut diamonds, stretching across its tonneau case, matching bracelet, and mosaic dial. And if that wasn’t quite enough for it to stand out, that gaping aperture in the middle of the dial is home to a centrally mounted tourbillon that leisurely beats at 2.5Hz, with hour and minute hands on the periphery.
Curvex CX Silhouette
Curvex CX Silhouette
The Silhouette is an example of the versatility of the Curvex CX case, showing a clear dichotomy between this take and the prior. Don’t you worry, though, there are still diamonds aplenty, though the amount of carats has reduced by an order of magnitude for a slightly more tasteful integration across the case and dial. Its black dials are covered in 25 layers of black lacquer, with grooves created for the hand-set diamonds as well as the lines matching the rose gold or stainless steel finish of the cases.
Cintrée Curvex Gatsby
Showing off yet another variant of the Curvex case is the Cintrée Curvex Gatsby, which also hints at its design inspiration with its name. The Roaring Twenties have informed the design of the numerals, which are set against more layers of lacquer covering a stamped, patterned backdrop. Naturally, 1920s opulence would be remiss without some diamonds, though they’re more restrained here and confined to the bezel and lugs. With a 29mm width and 7.2mm thickness, this Cintrée Curvex would not look out of place on a silken-gloved wrist of a Jay Gatsby party attendee.
Vanguard Aero Revolution 3 Skeleton
A watch that would surely puzzle those guests would be the Vanguard Aero Revolution 3 Skeleton, and not just because it measures 43.3mm across and 22.4mm thick. Its airy, open architecture suspends a triple-axis tourbillon at 6 o’clock, with each cage rotating at a different rate. Not only that, but the skeletonised double barrels will also power it for up to 10 days, with the in-house movement mounted directly to the caseback. As that could potentially affect the view of the movement, Franck Muller’s designers opted to open the case along the sides, too, offering unprecedented views of the calibre’s layers.
Vanguard Lady Crazy Hours Jisbar
We end on a complication synonymous with the Franck Muller name, and now featuring artwork by French artist Jisbar. The seemingly random numerals have been given even more personality, now composed of flowers, hearts, clouds and mathematical equations, all laid out on a white, lacquered dial and slotted into a 32mm-wide case.
What We Think
Vanguard Aero Revolution 3 Skeleton
While it’s fairly difficult to draw a conclusion in a relatively short article focusing on many watches from different collections, one thing is for certain: even after all these years, Franck Muller hasn’t changed its ways. There are still complications aplenty for those after that kind of thing, and the diamond-clad juggernauts are also clearly going nowhere, all imbued with this irreverent approach to watchmaking that Franck Muller has become known for.
With that in mind, I’m happy to see FM expanding its asymmetrical Silhouette. It’s timely given current trends, but also something that’s a good fit for the brand’s collections. I wonder what it would look like with all the diamonds and dial grooves stripped back, and fitted with one of the brand’s signature guilloche dials...
