Introducing Hublot Summer Has Arrived With The Art Of Pastel Ceramic

It might be a bit fresh in the Southern Hemisphere, but up north, Hublot is heating things up.

What We Know

As the mercury nudges 25°C in the Mediterranean coast towns where you’d actually want to holiday, Hublot is back with its summer ceramic range for 2026, debuting not one, but six new references to welcome in the summer. Hublot has been releasing brightly coloured, summer-ready novelties since 2017, but this is the first year we’ve seen such an expansive line-up, with the two headline acts arriving as the Big Bang Summer Multi-Coloured Ceramic 42mm chronograph and 44m tourbillon.

Both feature the same pink, mint green, and sky blue colour combinations, with pink lugs, a green case middle, and a blue bezel and rubber strap, but where they differ is in their movements, with the 42mm chronograph powered by the brand’s latest Unico flyback calibre that boasts five patented innovations and offers 72 hours of power reserve. In contrast, the 44mm tourbillon is powered by the HUB6035 manufacture movement that boasts sapphire plates for the dial, allowing light to pass all the way through the watch, and a micro-rotor at 12 o’clock to cement its visually appealing symmetry on the wrist.

The rest of the collection includes three 33mm references in polished petrol blue, mint green, or peach ceramic, as well as another 42mm chronograph executed primarily in vertically brushed titanium and polished peach-coloured ceramic. Paired with a matching peach rubber strap, the 42mm chronograph is powered by the same manufacture Unico flyback calibre as the aforementioned multi-coloured reference, while offering a slightly more subdued alternative thanks to its titanium case.

The 33mm references are interesting for a couple of points, the first being that this is one of the first times we’ve seen such soft tones in ceramic from Hublot, as they expand the range beyond the rich shades we’ve seen over the last few years. The second point is that they are the first 33mm references Hublot has ever released without diamonds, allowing the colour to breathe a little more than a diamond-set bezel would allow. The trio of 33mm references are all powered by the automatic Sellita-based HUB1120 movement, which arrives with 40 hours of power reserve, and all are paired with a rubber strap colour-matched to their respective cases.

What We Think

Personally, I’ve always been a fan of Hublot’s summer-themed releases, because broadly speaking, they represent exactly what the warmer months are for: putting away your darker winter colours, enjoying the sunshine, and relaxing. In that regard, Hublot hasn’t missed with its 2026 offering, not only dropping some fun, new colours, but also introducing a wider range of complications and sizes to ensure there’s something for everyone. It’s also been interesting to watch Hublot expand its range of ceramic colours over the years, with this latest batch to emerge from the kiln combining some of the softer, subtler hues the Nyon-based boffins have been able to cook up.

For my money, I’d be grabbing the Big Bang Summer Multi-Coloured Ceramic 42mm chronograph before I headed to the beach – if only because there’s something about a tourbillon that feels a little excessive for a pool party (though, maybe I’m going to the wrong ones). A closer runner-up would be the Big Bang Titanium Peach Ceramic 42mm chronograph, but I would have preferred a sandblasted finish to the titanium rather than vertical brushing.

A final thing that's worth noting is the specific shade of the pink ceramic on the Big Bang Summer Multi-Coloured Ceramic 42mm chronograph, a watch I was able to see in person recently. While the press images have it as a muted, but obvious shade of pink, in person, it's much more faint and almost looks like a warm, pinkish shade of white on the wrist that's closer to the white edges of the rubber strap than the stronger pink dial details (see below).

As you can see, the pink is more subtle than the press renders would lead you to believe.

Depending on the light you're looking at it under, the colours of most watches are always likely to shift slightly, and as far as beach watches go, it's not even close to a deal-breaker because the lighter shade would look equally good while reclining poolside. However, if you're particularly drawn to it because of the pink tones, it would certainly be worth seeing in a boutique to confirm your opinion.
